Unbelievable…
One of the best internet marketers I’ve ever seen is Russell Brunson. At his webinar yesterday he quoted a statistic that over 90% of people searching help wanted ads on Craig’s List ever get a job! He recommended something – I got it…

Diamond Hunter
You know, the Universe talks to us all the time. In my case, this became really obvious when my mom died, not long ago. I wrote the eulogy for mom’s memorial service. Words, distinct images, and strong impressions of her flooded my mind, my being. This is how all the subjects I write and speak about come to me as they do all of us when we watch for them.
Mom was a real social butterfly and she left her impression everywhere and with everyone she met up to the day and hour of her memorial service. More on that later.
My mom chose to be cremated, returning to her most basic composition, carbon ash. This seemed quite significant because carbon ash also happens to be the basic composition of diamonds. And anyone who knew my mom knew she absolutely loved diamonds. And so, this is a message from her, a translation of those impressions.
Just think about diamonds. Besides their beauty in accessories, their usefulness in industry is essential to the functionality of every day life, in everything from watches to computers.
This life has everything in common with diamonds, everything. Like life, diamonds are the hardest of rocks. In fact, diamonds are the hardest substance on the planet; nothing is harder. They are so hard in fact, that only diamonds can cut diamonds.
In the rough, diamonds look much like dirty pebbles, easily passed up by the unaware. But, in the mind of the Diamond Cutter, this rough stone is a thing of beauty every facet yielding a brilliance rivaled only by the stars in heaven.
One cannot hold a facet’s brilliance; for it is the essence of a diamond and can only be observed, enjoyed, and admired. Within some diamonds, an inclusion, or a fleck of carbon remains, a potential diamond waiting it’s turn for a future even more brilliant. This fleck may be seen as an imperfection, however, it is encased in perfection while it is becoming. The presence of an inclusion may decrease the overall value of the diamond, but its immaturity is a limitation or a hindrance. It needs only time before it is what it will be. Meanwhile, it Is as it is, possibility inside perfection, surrounded by clarity.
We are each a diamond, the hardest of stones, unaware of our potentiality and the brilliant sparkle that could light our path. We are diamonds in the rough, the pure potential for admiration, brilliance, and beauty, carriers of light. Once our facets are cut we are set that we may humbly sparkle. Facets are only proof that it is not the stone, nor the cut that is admired, for they are only messengers of light.
It is the sparkle, the light we are so captured by, not the stone.
The Diamond Cutter must first grind the rough to create a pane (pain) for his first glimpse inside the stone. Only by looking inside through this pane can the design of the stone be determined. The Diamond Cutter then draws a blueprint of how each stone should be cut.
In the mind of the Diamond Cutter the gem is already finished, pure brilliance in the eye of its beholder. Will a diamond in the rough say to the Diamond Cutter, “Don’t cut me?” Of course not, an exquisitely cut diamond is the essence of the Diamond Cutter. A diamond has but one purpose; to reflect that essence which is light.
But, we want our life to sparkle without being cut by the Diamond Cutter. We feel lost and cannot imagine how a loving God can allow life to be so ‘hard’. We are victims of our own creation. We cannot imagine that our responsibility is to co-create the grand opus that our lives could be. We have a say in the design, the blueprint for our life. We hurt, we suffer, we stop going forward without understanding that pain is only an indicator that points the way back to our path so we can follow the light. But, sometimes it hurts.
We create just like The Creator. “and greater works shall you do…” Jesus said. He was never astounded by what He did or what God did through Him. It was natural-supernatural to you and me. Our intentions bring us the experiences in life that reveal the blueprints we are co-creating with the skilled Master, the Diamond Cutter, Love Incarnate whose Mind created all, even faceted the life yielding the brightest light, the Bright and Morning Star; the Son.
On earth, we must trade youth for experience. Experiences cut the facets that make our lives sparkle. Forget the cut and the rough that falls away. Think of the light that will be and Is, even now. When we sparkle, we not only enjoy the light on our path, but we light the paths of others, as well.
I find something very profound in the tradition of a woman, a diamond in a ring, The symbol, a circle of eternity, a wife. She becomes a mother, the physical co-creator of a separate life, another being, a form that will breathe breath that comes from the Unknown. She is a like a diamond mine, pure potentiality birthing brilliance, a bringer of light bringing forth another bringer of light, another diamond in the rough encasing inclusions, other diamonds in the rough, another carbon being who will is waiting for the Cutter’s pane that brings the light.
I’m sure there will be more to say about all that. We have only to remember that the Diamond Cutter’s home is in His mine.
I am convinced that every tumultuous experience in my life is directly related to my Mom’s prayers. We always had a deep, spiritual connection, and still do. She is responsible for my seeking God. Throughout the darkest days of my life I somehow have managed to find myself turned around, facing the right direction time and time again until finally, I would smack myself on the forehead and say, “Oh, I guess this is the way.” It is those times that have determined the course of my life and I am writing this today because of her prayers.
I know a mother’s desires are the easiest desires for God to fulfill. In spite of ourselves, God takes a mother’s pure intentions and desires and brings them to pass for her children and humanity. She endures the Cutter’s swing of her self’s uncut stone skimming quickly across the screaming, grinding wheel like a pendulum or the baton of a great maestro conducting his masterpiece. Each pass coming closer to the facet that yields ever more brilliance. Though the experiences that faceted her life brings ever more light, the inclusions within remind her that she is not separate from the whole of humanity. She cries. Even her physical being reminds her regularly of her creator status and that all that is physical being originated through woman. She is powerful.
Never underestimate the power of a mother’s desire for the benefit of her child, or of a nation – a mother’s desire originates in the heart of God. Women, co-creating with the Diamond Cutter, have the power to change the world. Take confidence in the power of your desires to benefit humanity, sparkle for the benefit of humanity.
We are so in love with form, so mesmerized by the object, so taken with things, the wanting, the needing, the have to having, only to find that once acquired, the object of our desires has lost its luster. The excitement for the acquisition of the thing has dulled, and so the process must begin again. A new acquisition ensues until finally, we realize this is a perpetual journey.
So continue we must, on our relentless journey – it is our very nature. Adventurers are what we are, Diamond Hunters, like our fathers before us, after the stone, unaware that it is only a container that holds light. We really want that brilliant light so we can see our path to – where the angels live – eternity, home.
May I encourage you to give up your journey? Yes, that’s right, give up your journey. The last act any of us perform is giving. May I encourage you to give up now? Could you end your relentless journey? Would you? The companion of surrender is peace. These are the entities nudging you on your path. Do you remember that you already are that which you seek? You are light. Just be light.
“Let your light so shine among men…” and one day, when your wanting and needing gives way to knowing and having, you will realize you are not on a path. You are on a dance floor, and what seemed like a journey, was really a dance lesson! And you are not a diamond, that was just another metaphor! You are really the Star! The envy of even the stars in heaven! (Queue dance segment – hint: let Spirit lead
It takes earthly metaphors for us to comprehend what the angels have always known.
I hope this message will encourage you to see every moment of every event in your life as a metaphor. Universal intelligence speaks a language not heard with ears, but heard by your whole Being. God’s resonate vibration is ever present within us. Spending time in the stillness is not waiting to hear Spirit speak, it Is always speaking. Listen. The Is-ness speaks in experiences, in mind, heart and feelings. In purity of purpose and intention we understand this language and are convinced that we are not alone.
“Our last breath only blows out the flame in this lamp. We are all ways light, always.” Raenel Breucop
PS-remember mom’s last impression? My dad was mom’s only love, her soul-mate. Her memorial service was 12 years to the day and hour that dad decided to ‘blow out the flame in his lamp!’ We never leave…
